Cheering for the Red Sox is a wonderful way my sisters and I bond and keeps me feeling my youthful best. This passion is multi-generational, passed down from our mother, who is an avid fan. She was influenced by her mother (my grandmother), who would listen to the games on the radio and keep track of the players’ statistics in a notebook. It is an inspiring way to feel a part of something bigger than myself. However, as my mother says, “They will break your heart...”
